How We Approach Coworking Space Design
We believe functional coworking spaces emerge from understanding both the physical space and the needs of those who will use it. Our philosophy centers on creating environments that work practically while generating value for building owners.
Space-First Design
Every building presents different opportunities and constraints. We start by thoroughly analyzing the available space—its dimensions, natural light, structural elements, and access points. This understanding shapes our design recommendations rather than applying generic templates.
User-Centered Planning
We consider who will use the space and how they work. Different user groups have different needs—residents working from home require different setups than small business teams or freelancers. Our layouts accommodate various work styles and activities.
Practical Functionality
Design decisions prioritize functionality over aesthetics alone. We focus on elements that directly impact usability: proper lighting levels, comfortable temperatures, adequate power outlets, reliable internet connectivity, and appropriate acoustics for different zones.
Long-Term Durability
We select materials and furniture that maintain their condition under regular use. This includes considering cleaning requirements, replacement costs, and how components age. Durable installations reduce maintenance needs and preserve the space's functionality over time.
Regulatory Compliance
All installations meet Argentine building codes and safety regulations from the outset. This includes fire safety systems, emergency exits, accessibility standards, and electrical requirements. Compliance isn't optional—it's fundamental to responsible space design.
Turnkey Delivery
We handle the complete implementation process so building owners receive a finished, operational space. This includes coordinating contractors, managing installations, and ensuring all systems function properly before handover. We don't participate in subsequent operations.
Factors That Shape Our Approach
Understanding Space Potential
Not every space works equally well for coworking. We evaluate factors like ceiling height, window placement, column locations, and proximity to building amenities. Some spaces naturally support open work areas, while others suit private offices or meeting rooms. Our feasibility studies identify what's realistically achievable given the physical characteristics of your space.
Balancing Different Work Modes
Modern work involves various activities—focused individual work, collaborative projects, video calls, and informal discussions. Effective coworking spaces provide appropriate zones for each. This might include quiet areas with sound control, collaborative spaces with flexible furniture, and enclosed rooms for calls or meetings. The mix depends on anticipated user needs.
Infrastructure Requirements
Reliable connectivity forms the foundation of functional coworking spaces. This includes sufficient internet bandwidth, backup connections, and proper network coverage throughout the space. We also address power distribution—ensuring adequate outlets at workstations and common areas. These technical elements often determine whether a space truly serves user needs.
Acoustic Management
Sound travels differently in open spaces compared to traditional offices. Without proper acoustic treatment, coworking spaces can become uncomfortably noisy. We use sound-absorbing materials, strategic furniture placement, and spatial design to create zones with appropriate sound levels. This allows focused work areas to remain quiet while collaborative spaces accommodate conversation.
What We Do and Don't Do
We Handle Implementation
Our work covers everything from initial feasibility studies through final installation. This includes space planning, furniture selection and installation, connectivity setup, acoustic treatments, signage, and safety compliance. We deliver a complete, operational coworking space.
We Don't Operate Spaces
After project completion, we don't participate in ongoing operations. Building owners or their designated managers handle day-to-day operations, user management, maintenance, and any operational decisions. Our role ends when we hand over the finished space.
